MemeBox 7th Global Edition

Cost: $23 (plus shipping)

How it Works: Each Meme Box is bought separately and includes several full and deluxe sample size items from well-liked Korean brands. There are no set times or days that new boxes are released, but they tend to have at least one item in stock at all times.

Shipping Schedule: Varies by box.

Returns: As far as I can tell, you cannot return a box, but if there are any issues you can contact their customer service and they are pretty good about compensating and working with you.

Cancellation: This isn't an actual subscription, so you just don't buy another box.

My Experience
So after the total disappoint of MemeBox Edition 5 and Edition 6 I was beginning to lose faith in Meme Box. What with the quick turn-around on box releases, and the sporadic customer service replies, I was really thinking about if I wanted to stay with this sub. You have to order these boxes really far in advance, so I still have quite a few coming to me, so I figured I would just let those get to me and decide once I saw those. Good thing I did, because they totally redeemed themselves with this Edition 7!

Mise en scene - 2X Curl Essence ($2.00)
This was the least exciting item for me, but it's still a pretty decent sample size. When I saw "curl" I thought "oh hell no, I don't want hair like that picture". But apparently It's just a leave in cream to condition your hair. That I am down with. I also love the name! Though what it has to do with hair care, I don't know!

Leaders Insolution - BIO Medi-Curing Mask-Aqua Dressing ($3 x 2 - Full Size!)
I love face masks, yes I do! And they sent us two of these so we really get to try them out and see if we like them! These have coconut jelly in them, and I am always hearing people rave about how good coconut products are for your skin, so I am extra excited to try these out!

Dr G. - BIO-RTx Mentor Cream ($14)
We had a Dr. G item in the 2nd Edition box that didn't really work out for me, and this item is for dry skin which I definitely don't have. I might try it anyway though since my cheeks are closer to normal/dry. Such cute packaging!

a;t fox - Jasoyup Herb Tea Makeup Designer Kit ($23)
And then I died of cute! This little makeup kit is so adorable! From the cute little tin care with it's fox and bird and little tea-time girl, to the products themselves! There were two options, and this is the Black Tea set. It comes with (3) eye pencils, (1) eyeliner, (1) lip pencil, (1) nail file and (1) set of nail stickers. I thought the nail stickers were a bit random, and would have liked a different item, like a blush. The eye pencils are so pretty! I've been wearing the light pink as an all over lid color with the darker red/pink in the crease and they stay on really well throughout the day. I haven't tried the rest of it yet, but I'm looking forward to doing so soon!

Recipe by Nature - Slowganic Cleanse in Lemon, Green Tea and Adlay ($1.20)
First off, does that middle image on the left not totally look like a hot dog? Because yes, yes it does. So the "flavors" of these cleansers should actually be: Green Tea, Hot Dog, Lemon. But for real, look at how interesting they are! Like little dough balls!Apparently you pinch off a piece and foam it up in your hands before working it onto your face. In the pictures you can see the Green Tea one has a cap for resealing the container instead of using it all in one go.

Catrin - Natural 100 Mineral Sun Kill SPF42 PA+++ ($38 - Full Size!)
Mineral sunscreen is not something I have ever seen before, and I doubted the ability of it to work at first. But then I began looking around and apparently even Peter Thomas Roth has one, not to mention Bare Minerals as SPF 15 in their foundation. So maybe it isn't so crazy after all! I love that this is a full size and the attached powder puff make application a breeze!

Total Value: $84.20

Final Thoughts
Meme Box, you made me believe in your again! I thought we were going to need a break from one another, but you just reeled me right back in! Great box, although I do with that there was some level of customization. For instance, the Dr. G cream I received was for dry skin, but if able to select a preference I would have chosen one of the other two options (oily skin or damaged skin).

MemeBox 6th Global Edition

Box: Meme Box

Cost: $23 (plus shipping)

How it Works: Each Meme Box is bought separately and includes several full and deluxe sample size items from well-liked Korean brands. There are no set times or days that new boxes are released, but they tend to have at least one item in stock at all times.

Shipping Schedule: Varies by box.

Returns: As far as I can tell, you cannot return a box, but if there are any issues you can contact their customer service and they are pretty good about compensating and working with you.

Cancellation: This isn't an actual subscription, so you just don't buy another box.

My Experience
After the disappointment of the last box, I was looking for the 6th Edition to really wow me and remind me why I love Meme Box. 6th Edition turned out to be a mixed bag for me, but there were a few stand-out items that excited me even though the duds were really, really blech.

O'Sum - Aloe Vera Soothing Mist ($15 - Full Size!)
I love me some full-size product! This is a face mist that can be used as a setting spray, or when your face gets dry throughout the day. Just from looking at it and smelling it, there seem to be quite a few oils present and since my skin is already oily we'll have to see if it likes this stuff. Still, I like the idea of having a "soothing mist" I can use through the day! I imagine this would be great to have at the beach!

Kovas - Cettua Silk and Shiny Foot Mask ($2.50 - Full Size!)
One thing I love about this box is the addition of items that I would never, ever think of to buy for myself. But OF COURSE my feet need a special mask all to themselves! Apparently these are like little booties you tie on to moisturize and pamper you feet! Can! Not! Wait!

Recipe by Nature - Spray Essence Water ($35 - Full Size!)
This item was in the 1st Edition of Meme Box (the only one of the main line I did not get), so I was excited to see it in this one! Although, I don't like the idea of them repeating items, so I hope that isn't a trend. Like the O'sum product, this is a mist you spray on your face, except this one is supposed to be used in the "essence" place of your skincare routine. It looks hella oily in the bottle so I have the same concerns as I do regarding the O'sum mist, but I'll try it out!

Hanskin - Bio Origin Wrinkle Talk BB SPF 30 PA++ ($9.75)
Not that I have anything against trying out new BB creams, but so far all the BB's I have gotten from Meme Box have either been way too pale or strangely orange on me. I'm glad they have been sending out samples instead of full sizes though so I don't feel so bad when they don't work out.

Nelafantasia - One Day Whitener Magical Whitening Lotion ($8.67)
So at first I was really interested in this because I have natural redness in my skin (I'm looking at you, you damn birthmark in the middle of my forehead) and I've used all kind of bleaching and whitening agents in the search for a HG item that reduces it's appearance. But the more I look at this, the more I think it is more of a primer. Something you use under your makeup to make you skin appear whitener, because it's more like a white foundation than a chemical whitener. So, now I'm much less interested cause I am way too white as it is.

Kerasys - Moringa Miracle Essense ($13.50 - Full Size!)
Hair oils are another item I will always use! Since discovering how amazing hair oils are (seriously, how have I not known about these little miracles all my life?), I have been trying all kinds, and I'm really looking forward to adding this one to my line up! It's even a full size item!

Dr Jart+ - Silver Label Rejuvenating Beauty Balm ($4.64)
Bah! Another dang BB Cream! At least this one is by Dr Jart though. I am ready and willing to try absolutely anything they make since their eye cream (from the 3rd Global Edition ) is my HG eye cream for getting rid of my dark circles.

Laneige - Snow Crystal Pure Lip Gloss ($12.00)
Hey look at this cute little... Wait a second... Argh! This is another repeat item! It was also in the 4th Global Edition! And it sucked that time too! Ugh, Meme Box... Why do you do this to me? I am so disappoint..

Total Value: $66.06

Final Thoughts:
There was a lot of repetition in this box:
2 Face Sprays
2 BB Creams
2 Repeat Items from Previous Boxes.
It also has quite a lower value than I am accustomed to seeing from Meme Box. I'm excited about the foot mask and hair oil, but the other items are just kind of "meh". I think Meme Box and I are in a rut... Snap out of it Meme, or I'll have to break up with you!

Meme Box 5th Global Edition

Box: Meme Box

Cost: $23 (plus shipping)

How it Works: Each Meme Box is bought separately and includes several full and deluxe sample size items from well-liked Korean brands. There are no set times or days that new boxes are released, but they tend to have at least one item in stock at all times.

Shipping Schedule: Varies by box.

Returns: As far as I can tell, you cannot return a box, but if there are any issues you can contact their customer service and they are pretty good about compensating and working with you.

Cancellation: This isn't an actual subscription, so you just don't buy another box.

My Experience
Blugh. So after 3 amazeballs boxes I should have known a dud was coming. This box was pretty close to a massive fail for me. I was only really interested in one product, although that doesn't mean I won't get some use out of the rest of it. This whole box was just... BLAH.

Derma:B - Daily Moisture Body Lotion ($4.00)
Unexciting Items #1: Plain old boring body lotion. This stuff doesn't seem any different from the usual St. Ives products I use on a daily basis, and has a bit of a funky odor to it. Not a bad smell necessarily, just not what I'm used to. Granted, this is a very generous sample at 100ml (full size is 400ml). I'll use it, but it is a very "meh" item.

Nuganic Customize - Pore Control Essence ($46.00 - Full Size!)
Another essence! We were sent a facial sunscreen by Nuganic Customize in the 3rd Edition box, and I wasn't a big fan, but this item is definitely calling my name. It used the magic phrase "pore control". Ah, if only we could truly control our pores. More than willing to try this out. This was the most exciting product in the box to me, and it is full size!

CNP Laboratory - Cleansing Perfecta ($7.67)
Unexciting Item #2: Makeup remover. Don't get me wrong, we all need a decent makeup remover in our lives, but I have several that I like and use regularly. This one will have to wait it's turn.

Aromatica - Tasteless Aroma Therapy Roll On
I might have been more interested in this item had it not smelled exactly like armpits. You know that sharp, sweaty smell? Apparently that's the patchouli, which means that I finally know if I like that smell. Answer: I don't. This roll-on is apparently supposed to suppress appetite, and one can only assume it does this by making you want to constantly gag.

Lipozone - Body Ampoule ($11.43)
Now this is interesting! I have seen products like this all over the place, but never would have bought a pack. The serum in the ampules is supposed to reduce cellulite and fat cells. Sign me up for that! Too bad I have a feeling it doesn't work. I mean, if it did, everyone would be using it, right? Wish I could figure out how those picture directions are supposed to help at all. Maybe they are exercises to to while using the serum? That sure seems like cheating if so!

Sella - Organic Soap ($3.60)
Unexciting Item #3: Another facial soap. This cleanser is small, so I could probably use it up pretty quickly, but it's claims of anti-aging and pore-minimizing properties seem a bit inflated. Or maybe my bad mood miasma regarding this box is making me cynical about this poor defenseless soap.

Espoir - Lip Gloss in Passion Plum ($15.00 - Full Size!)
I like to call this color "Woah, 'dats pink!". Cause that is a for-real pink lip gloss we've got here. Good thing I like hot pink lips! This was a random color choice of three. I wish we could customize these boxes a little more regarding color preferences. It says the full size of this lippie is 37 grams which I really hope is a typo, because that would be huge. This feels like a full size to me, so that is the price I am going with.

Physiogel Samples: Cleanser, Cream, and Intensive Repair Cream
Leaders Samples: CC Cream and UV Moist Sun Gel
Dear Jane Samples: Touch the Silk Velvet Primer and Glam on your Shimmer Bomb
Ugh, foils! No! Bad Meme Box! I didn't buy this box for foil samples! I'll use them... But I won't like it.

Total Value:

Final Thoughts:
Which this less than interesting box isn't enough to make me stop ordering Meme Boxes, it does make me stop and think about the service. Pre-ordering these things for months in advance is risky, and who knows what you may be getting, or what direction the company may decide to head in with little-to-no notice. That being said, I will get use out of these products... I just wouldn't have bought this box had I already known what was in it.

Meme Box 4th Global Edition

Box: Meme Box

Cost: $21 (plus shipping)

How it Works: Each Meme Box is bought separately and includes several full and deluxe sample size items from well-liked Korean brands. There are no set times or days that new boxes are released, but they tend to have at least one item in stock at all times.

Shipping Schedule: Varies by box.

Returns: As far as I can tell, you cannot return a box, but if there are any issues you can contact their customer service and they are pretty good about compensating and working with you.

Cancellation: This isn't an actual subscription, so you just don't buy another box.

My Experience
When this box arrived, I immediately noticed the size difference. In the picture above, the bottom box is 4th edition and the top box is 3rd. Much bigger! And there were a total of 10 items in this box, which is the most ever in a Meme Box!

LJH - Dr's Care Vita Propolis Ampoule ($8.67)
I was wondering when bee products were going to make their Meme Box debut! This oil is supposed to "bring out the natural, healthy luminosity of your face" and I am not entirely sure what that means. I guess I'm going to literally "glow" after using it? We shall see! This bottle is only 5ml, but is still 1/3 of the full size which is 15ml. Since you are supposed to only add a drop or two to your moisturizer I imagine it will go a long way.

Goodal - Repair Plus Essential Oil ($7.20)
&
The Shampoo Plus - Natural Waterless Shampoo ($5.00 - Full Size!)
And another skin oil! This one seems to be more general in use though because it suggests using it on hair and cuticles as well as you face.
The shampoo is really interesting! Instead of being a "dry", aerosol shampoo like I'm used to seeing, it is a "foam" shampoo. The idea looks to be the same though. I have read that a lot of people were turned off by the oregano smell of the foam, but it didn't seem very strong at all to me, especially considering that normal dry shampoos smell like pure chemicals.

Lanoa - Natural Soap Sulfur ($12.00 - Full Size!)
This soap is surfactant, artificial fragrance, and preservative free, and the I can pronounce most of the ingredients! Sulfur is great for clearing up blemishy skin , so I'm pretty pumped to get to try this. And such pretty packaging!

Clio - VF 21 Water BB ($6.00)
Another BB cream! This one looks a bit orange on me, which was a bit surprising since the full name of this product includes the phrase "Vampire Face". First of all, finally! Just what I always wanted to look like! Secondly, I hope the person in charge of naming this cream was given a spectacular bonus. Thirdly, what vampire would have an orange face? Or am I thinking too much into that?

IOPE - Bio Essence Intensive Conditioning ($6.43)
I was so excited to see this! This essence claims to clear, smooth, and enhance your skins texture and complexion.  Lots of reviews have been popping up for this product online, and this trial kit is the perfect size for checking it out! It even came with cotton pads for each use, and measuring marks on the bottle to tell you how much to use each time!

Laneige - Snow Crystal Pure Lip Gloss ($12)
&
Peripera - Peri's Tint Mini Madarin Juice ($2.69)
Both of these items made me sad, but for different reasons.
The Laneige gloss is just totally boring, and the packaging was deceiving. When you look at it in the light, it's obvious that there was only enough product to fill the tube a quarter of the way.
The Peripera tint leaked (see the orange stain above) and there was barely any left in the tube. Quite disappointing since I generally love orange tints. I did write to Meme Box about this leak and they offered a new product or points added to my account! Great CS!

T.E.N. - Cremorlab Mineral Treatment Essence ($13.33)
&
Danahan - Bon Yeon Jin Essence ($16.32)
More essences! I've got this section of my skincare routine on lock now! The Cremorlab (doesn't that sound a bit too close to cremate?) essence claims to do... just about everything. "Hydrate, tighten pores, brighten, and even skin complexion". Isn't the packaging pretty!
The Danahan essence is targeted at winkles. Don't have a problem with those yet, but once you do, you can't go back, so prevention is the name of the game. It says to apply to both face and neck, so I'm sure my neck will enjoy the attention. Since I tend to totally ignore it.

Total Value: $89.64

Final Thoughts
Overall, there wasn't really an item form this box that stands out and excites me, except for the IOPE sample. Having said that, I know I will have fun trying out all these products and seeing if they make good on any of their claims. Because, let's be honest: Some of the items make some pretty bold assertions about what they will do for you.

Meme Box 2nd Global Edition

Box: Meme Box

Cost: $21 (plus shipping)

How it Works: Each Meme Box is bought separately and includes several full and deluxe sample size items from well-liked Korean brands. There are no set times or days that new boxes are released, but they tend to have at least one item in stock at all times.

Shipping Schedule: Varies by box.

Returns: As far as I can tell, you cannot return a box, but if there are any issues you can contact their customer service and they are pretty good about compensating and working with you.

Cancellation: This isn't an actual subscription, so you just don't buy another box.

My Experience:
This is the second Meme Box I have bought. After buying the 3rd, I had really wanted this one to come back in stock, mostly because of the BB cream. You better believe when it showed back up, I jumped right on it!

LJH's Tea Tree Essence ($12.80)
The description and the fact that this is "tea tree" oil make me think it is for calming down acne and blemishes. It's consistency is more like a serum than an oil and there isn't much scent to it. Excited to see if it works since acne is my major skin issue.

Left hand is Shampoo - Right hand is conditioner
Ryoe Jayang Yunmo Anti-Hairloss Hair Pack ($10.67 + Foils)
Before you ask, no, that is not poo in my hands. I know it kind of looks that way, but you just need to get your mind out of the poo gutter. The box came with one bottle of the conditioner and two sample packs of the shampoo with conditioner. I love that they added both so you could see how they work together!

Miguhara B.P. Cream ($7.40)
And now we have B.P. creams. Am I surprised? Nope. The entire alphabet will be used eventually, I'm sure. This is a BB Primer (B P, get it?!), so it's supposed to fill in your pores and make your makeup go on smoother. As you can see, it looks like it worked alright from my swatch, but I'll have to test run it on my face next. I thought it was very generous of them to add two samples of it too!

Maycoop Raw Sauce ($10.67)
Y'all, this packaging! Don't ask me why, but I am a sucker for frosted glass. The stuff inside could do nothing for me at all, and I would still love it for the packaging. But let's be real... I love the name of it too: "Raw Sauce". That just sounds amazing and I want it on my face now.

a;t fox Tea Toc Water Clear Tablet ($5.00 - Full Size!)
Back when I bought the 3rd box (my first), I had asked the Meme Box customer service people if they would be getting these tablets in stock on their website because the reviews I had seen intrigued me. It's like a soda infused tea... For your face. What is there not to love wholeheartedly about that? I still haven't seen it as a purchasable item on their site, but I'm glad I got the chance to buy this re-stocked 2nd box just so I could try these cute little dudes out.

Holika Holika Skin & Good Cera Super Cream (3.17)
Finally, a brand I have actually heard of! I've never used their products, but I have heard good things about some of their other lines so I can't wait to slather this cream on.

Gowoonsesang Total Active Dual BB Cream ($50 - Full Size!)
Last but not least... My first Asian BB Cream. Hell yeah. The swatch looks a bit light on me though, so we will have to see how it works out. I love the packaging. That's the BB Cream and the SPF getting all swirly in there. Ooooh, yeah.

Full Value: $99.71
I have no way of knowing if these prices are correct. It is difficult to find these products available outside of Korea, even through online retailers, so I am just trusting Meme Box and the prices they listed on the information card that came with the box. Even if their prices are a bit inflated, this box is still well worth $21!

Final Thoughts:
Hella hot damn excited about this box! I will be using everything in here, and I'll have to hold myself back from using them all at the same time. My skin would not thank me for that, nope, not at all. I'll write up some full reviews of the individual products as I use them and form an opinion. The best thing about this box? All the samples are large enough to get multiple uses out of, therefore I will actually have an informed opinion instead of a guestimation! Take that American companies, with your skimpy foils packs of products "you won't see a difference until 2353q4534 uses".

Meme Box 3rd Global Edition

Box: Meme Box

Cost: $21 (plus shipping)

How it Works: Each Meme Box is bought separately and includes several full and deluxe sample size items from well-liked Korean brands. There are no set times or days that new boxes are released, but they tend to have at least one item in stock at all times.

Shipping Schedule: Varies by box.

Returns: As far as I can tell, you cannot return a box, but if there are any issues you can contact their customer service and they are pretty good about compensating and working with you.

Cancellation: This isn't an actual subscription, so you just don't buy another box.

My Experience
My First Meme Box! Korean Beauty Box! Lots of samples and full size products! 'Nuff said and movin' right along to the items!

Papa Recipe Princess Lip Gel Patch ($3.00)
Reasons I love this:
1 - It's a gigantic pair of plastic lips! To put over my lips! To make them pillowy soft!
2 - It's by 'Papa Recipe" and I've invested way too many hours of my life in perfecting my souffle on Cooking Mama
3 - It's a lip mask! I just really don't need another reason.

Dr. Jart V7 Eye Serum ($38 - Full Size!)
I have some major dark under-eye circles. Who cares if more sleep could solve that issue. Ain't nobody got time for that. I would love if this serum was able to chase the darkness under my eyes away. Look at that, I'm getting positively poetic about this stuff. It's also great that Dr Jart is readily available in the US at Sephora! This is a full size though, so I wouldn't need to repurchase any time soon!

Nuganic Customized Sunblock Fresh SPF 50 PA+++ ($45 - Full Size!)
I'm not sure who this sunblock was customized for (or for that matter, what all those plus signs mean), but I am willing and ready to try it. As I get closer and closer to the dreaded 3-0, I am becoming more aware of how close I am to the days of anti-wrinkle creams and serums. It's scary. And if I can fend off those lines and dark spots by protecting my skin from the sun now, by gosh golly, hand me that sunscreen!

Banila Co It Radiant Brightening Cream, CC Cream, Melting Pact ($??)
How freaking adorable is this little set. Looks like it gives you all the items in this makeup series. As you can see, when I swatched the Melting Pact I hit pan, but it looks like there is a nice amount of the rest of these products to try out.

TonyMoly Delight Tony Tint in Red ($1?)
Secret Kiss Twinkle Waterproof Gel Pencil Liner ($8 - Full Size!)
THERE IS A HEART ON THE LID OF THAT LIP STAIN, Y'ALL! Just had to get that out. I believe this is a stain meant to be used for the Korean "gradiant lip" look, but I dunno if I can pull that off. That stuff has some staying power though so it's perfect for a bright lip stain! As for the gel liner, I'll use it, but I swear I this same type of product in this exact color by MAC.

Dear by Enprani Bounce Cheese Cream ($11.60)
I am on cuteness overload, you guys. Who wouldn't want to put "cheese cream" on their face? I know I'm jumping in the front of that line! The texture of this stuff is very... Screw it, the best word really is "bouncy" like the name says. There is a lot of elasticity in it. Can't wait to put it on and see if it really "extend[s] bouncily on [my] face such like 'mozzarella-cheese'". Cause that would be AMAZING.

Aritaum The Professional Eyelash ($3.00)
Oh lashes... I have so many of you thanks to subscription boxes. It's like these companies think I wear you, or something crazy like that. But alas, I just let you languish in a drawer with all your little (and, sometimes, scarily hirsute) lash friends. Perhaps one day I shall lead you into the sunlight, like so many bats flapping upon my eyeballs. But until they day... Farewell.

Total Value: $109.60
Woah! And that isn't including the Banila Co prices since I couldn't find reliable pricing online. Honestly, the eye cream itself paid for and made this box worth the $21.00 to me.

Final Thoughts:
Look at all those full size products! And I will be trying out and using every single one! That is something I can't say about a lot of my subscription boxes. I am totally sold on these Meme Boxes! Full write ups of these products to come!
